Rooms of Wakehurst

Rooms of Wakehurst

As we strolled around the house at Wakehurst Place, we came across the library with it’s original fireplace.

Another room that I liked was this one, where the sun shone through the windows

My life's ambition would be to retire somewhere picturesque, somewhere with wonderful scenery and views that would give this amateur photographer, great inspiration

        1. I love photographing that era, but to be honest, I think all the dark wood and dark furniture would make me feel rather claustrophobic… I personally like light airy spaces.. mind you though I do love going to these houses and seeing what it was like in the 1950’s/1960’s.. some of the things displayed bring back memories.
